General Residential Requirements
- • Accessory structures >200 sq ft require permit
- • All decks (new or replacement) require permit
- • Fences require permit; retaining walls ≥48" require sealed engineered design
- • Basement finishes involving walls, electrical, plumbing, or ductwork require permit
- • Demolition requires utility disconnection confirmation before permit issued
- • Plans must meet 2018 International Building Codes

Contractor Licensing

- 🔧 Homeowners acting as own contractor do NOT need license, but subcontractors DO
