General Residential Requirements

  • Accessory structures >200 sq ft require permit
  • All decks (new or replacement) require permit
  • Fences require permit; retaining walls ≥48" require sealed engineered design
  • Basement finishes involving walls, electrical, plumbing, or ductwork require permit
  • Demolition requires utility disconnection confirmation before permit issued
  • Plans must meet 2018 International Building Codes
